Lingard Don Agrees Him Own Terms With Newcastle

Manchester United star Jesse Lingard has reportedly agreed personal terms with Newcastle ahead of a move to St James’ Park.

The England international has barely played under both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick this term. Now, a move away from Old Trafford is being worked on.

Lingard returned to United back in the summer believing he’d get plenty of minutes at Old Trafford following a successful loan spell at West Ham.

Yet it’s been a problematic campaign for the England international, who has barely been played under both Solskjaer and Rangnick this term.

Newcastle have been pushing to sign Lingard over the course of the month with Eddie Howe’s side looking to boost their chances of staying in the Premier League and avoiding relegation.

Now, 90min claimed the Toon have agreed personal terms with the 28-year-old ahead of a move to St James’ Park.

And they’re currently finalising a deal that will take Lingard to Tyneside before the transfer window slams shut at 11pm on Monday night.

Lingard will apparently join Newcastle on loan until the end of the campaign, when he’ll become a free agent.

The deal originally fell through earlier in the ninth but, now, the lines of communication have ‘remained open’.

For Newcastle, any potential deal for Lingard will be a major coup.

If they can get him back to his West Ham best they’ll be onto a winner, with the England star scoring nine times during his time at the London Stadium last year.

West Ham had also been in the race to sign Lingard but United made it clear they wouldn’t sell to a club so close to them in the Premier League table.
