Nigeria international and former Watford FC of England striker Odion Ighalo was a guest of Thursday evening’s edition of Inside The Hive to answer questions from Hornets supporters.
The Nigeria international, who spent roughly three years at Vicarage Road, made 100 appearances in all competitions for Watford, scoring 39 goals.
Ighalo has played alongside John Obi Mikel, Victor Moses, Alexis Sanchez, Troy Deeney, Youssef El Arabi and David de Gea in his career but he went for Manchester United maestro Bruno Fernandes when he was asked to name the best player he has played with.
“I’ll say I played with a lot of good players, I will just say Bruno (Fernandes),” Ighalo stated.
Ighalo revealed that former Arsenal assist-specialist Mesut Ozil is the best player he has come up against and explained why he picked the German playmaker who is now at Fenerbahce.
The Al-Hilal star faced Ozil four times during his time with Watford and managed to win only one of the matches.
“I have come up against many players. I’ll say when we played against Arsenal, I came up against Mesut Ozil.
“He’s a very good player, very skillful and can be a good passer,” Ighalo said.
Although Ighalo is a lifelong Manchester United fan, he will be caught in two minds as to whether to support the Red Devils or Watford when both teams face off at Old Trafford on Saturday with the visitors fighting to avoid relegation from the Premier League.
