The government of Ghana has approved the newly constituted Black Stars technical team for the 2022 World Cup playoffs in March.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) following the sacking of Serbian trainer Milovan Rajevac after Black Stars poor showing at the 2021 AFCON announced an interim technical team for the World Cup play-offs against Nigeria.
Otto Addo will lead as the head coach with George Boateng and Didi Dramani serving as his assistants for the crucial game.
Former Brighton boss Chris Hughton was also appointed technical advisor to the team which was subject to approval from the government.
Ghana will host Nigeria at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on March 25 in the first leg before traveling to Abuja for the second leg on March 29.
Ghana reached the play-off round after topping a qualifying pool that included South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Ethiopia.
Meanwhile, Rangers International of Enugu goalkeeper Seidu Mutawakilu is in line to get his first Black Stars call up for Ghana’s 2022 FIFA World Cup playoff against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Mutawakilu is among 15 goalkeepers Richard Kingston is considering for the Black Stars.
