Chief Executive Officer [CEO] of Evergreen Group, Chief Iyke Obi Madu has disclosed his love for grassroots football. The business icon turned soccer enthusiast, stated this ahead the forthcoming annual Ramadan soccer tourney organised by Prince Gbadamosi Adebola Suliamon.
Madu, a native of Ihiala in Anambra State, stated his love for the game had seen him inspired several Nigeria soccer star to enviable height. He however urged teams to get get their registration form before it closes on March 15th 2022.
In his words: “ I know football is a tool capable of curbing deviant behaviour in our society. I’m so proud of what the Ramadan Cup has achieved so far in terms of followership and participation. The tourney has brought togetherness and peace and this is more reason I love sponsoring the game.
“ I’m confident the tourney will grow bigger every year and this year edition will come with number packages. I want to appeal to well meaning personalities and organisations to unite and empower the youths through football. I believe it will help in developing their talent and reduce crime in the society,” he said.
Meanwhile the competition slated for 32 teams, has been schedule to hold on the proposed place ground, Igando, Lagos.
