Organizers of Dr.Taiwo Afolabi Under-17 grassroot football tourney has declared readiness for the 2022 edition.
The competition scheduled for boys and girls category is billed to kick off Saturday 5th of February at Gbagada playing ground, Lagos.
Afolabi, a Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SIFAX Group in conjunction with the Lagos State Grassroot Soccer Association, will power the championship scheduled for 48 male teams and 32 female side cited in Southwest region of Nigeria.
The tourney planned to end on 29th of April, will light up the 60th birthday anniversary of Dr. Afolabi who was born on same date.
Meanwhile, teams such as Soccer City of Oyo State, Bamise God from Abeaukuta, Adeoba Football Club of Ijebu, Ibadan based Ultimate Football Club, Onabanjo Babes of Ogun State, Future Hero of Ilaro, Ilesha based Warrior FC and Shagamu Santos FC will battle for the girls priminary stage ticket billed for Saturday, 19th of February.
