Rivers Utd Na Dem Still Dey Top Spot

Rivers United maintained top spot in the 2021/2022 Nigeria Professional Football League season following their 2-1 home win over Dakkada FC on Wednesday. 

Ishaq Kayode Rafiu brace were enough to keep the Stanley Eguma side on the top spot with 22 points from 10 games. 

Elsewhere, title-chasing Remo Stars snatched a point from Kano Pillars as their tie ended barren. The Kunle Soname Boys settled for second spot on the log with 20 points.

Shooting Stars Sports Club [3SC] of Ibadan also impressed their fans with a resounding performance against visiting Heartland FC of Owerri, at the Lekan Salami Stadium. 

The Oluyole Warriors went untamed with a 4-0 victory against eastern side. The Edith Agoye lads are sixth with 15 points, while league giants Enyimba suffered a 2-1 loss to Nasarawa United in Lafia.

Gombe United will today (Wednesday) hosts rock bottom side Mountain of Fire Football Club of Lagos in Gombe.
