Olympique Lyon is ready to push to re-sign Arsenal striker, Alexandre Lacazette, at the end of the season.
The Ligue 1 side sold the forward to the Gunners in a £53million move in the summer of 2017, and the Frenchman has gone on to score 70 goals in 192 appearances at Emirates Stadium.
L’Equipe said Lyon tried to take advantage of his deal entering its final few months by reaching out to his entourage about a potential move back to the Groupama Stadium in January.
However, a January deal was deemed impossible given that he is now Arsenal’s main centre forward and the player who wears the armband in the wake of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang being frozen out and his subsequent move to Barcelona.
But the report added Lyon has not been put off re-signing their academy product once his Gunners deal expires, with the forward retaining close ties with his former club.
