Kanu International Football Academy (KIFA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), with the management of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resorts Limited towards discovering and nurturing football talents to stardom.
The ceremony which was held last week at the conference hall of the Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resorts Limited saw the leadership of both parties put pen to papers to sign the MoU and partner each other towards the discovery of football talents around the country.
Speaking after the signing ceremony, the Chief Operating Officer, Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resorts Limited, Prince Adeshina Araoye, commended the leadership of KIFA, and stated that the partnership would help change the narratives as it concerns grassroots football development.
“We at Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resorts are pleased to announce the partnership with KIFA, having worked with them for many years and we are satisfied with its operations. KIFA operates in line with FIFA standards and we are fully satisfied and hope that this marriage, will take us to the promised land.”
In his response, the Director-General of KIFA, Prince Dapo Ajibade, also commended the Chairman/CEO Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resorts Limited for believing in the project said that the academy, which has over 120 centres of excellence spread across the country, will provide future national team players that will make the country proud.
“Our own is to look around different and at even the remotest parts of the country to get the budding talents. That’s why we say, ‘KIFA discovers, Ilaji develops’. And with what we have seen so far in the last four years, the future is bright and we have no doubt that we are in the right place.
“We say a big thank you to Dotun Sanusi for taking up this project. He is a wonderful and generous Nigerian who believes in the God-given talents of the youths and is bent on empowering them for the benefits of Nigeria,” Ajibade said.
