Core Afrique Boxing Promotion (COABOX), in collaboration with Moondream Promotion, has concluded plans to stage boxing show tagged: ‘Scorpion Stings Again’, scheduled for February 27 at the indoor hall of Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Ibadan.
The boxing show sanctioned by the Nigeria Boxing Board of Control (NBBofC), according to the Vice Chairman of Oyo State chapter of the body, Hon Bako Arowolo, will see the WBF Super Featherweight champion, Ridwan ‘Scorpion’ Oyekola facing Charlemagne Anicet from Benin Republic in Lightweight International challenge bout.
National champion, Habeeb Oladeji, popularly known as Ige, will also trade punches with Dhikrulai Akintayo ‘The killer’ in a National Bantamweight challenge, while Abdulrasheed Idowu, also known as ID Bbuster, will lock horns with Ibrahim Owoiya in National Light Heavyweight challenge.
Kazeem Lawal will also face Adeniyi Segun in a National Middleweight boxing challenge while Jamiu Akande Sunshine will tackle Mutiu Lawal Tato in another National Lightweight boxing challenge, just as Blessing Godwin “Star Girl” will battle Akinsanya Rophiat Abosede in National female Welterweight challenge.
Hon Arowolo assured the teeming boxing lovers in Oyo State of adequate security and an exciting boxing show that will leave a lasting memory in the minds of the boxing fans.
