Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos was agog with football and other fanfare, as the group under the auspices of, ‘Ojo Soccer Ambassadors’ celebrated and recognized coaches in the geographic zone, for their contribution to the growth and development of football in the region.
The fast rising group, under the leadership of Germany based, Steve Chukwudi Okoro, fondly referred to as Enyimba, gifted mini bags of rice and cash rewards to about 50 selected coaches for a job well-done, in order to encourage and inspire the coaches to do more.
Meanwhile, a novelty game between the foreign-based and the home-based players was prosecuted to commemorate the event. The duel ended 3-2 in favour of the locally based stars.
The crème de la crème in Ojo were present to grace the occasion which clocked two after maiden edition held at St Michael’s College, Ojo, was championed by Belgium based forward and Ojo brought up, Paul Onuachu.
