Moses Simon Wins MOTM Award, Dedicate It To Team Mates

Nigerian winger, Moses Simon yesterday won the Man of The Match [MOTM] Award in Super Eagles 3-1 victory over Sudan in the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

Simon provided the first goal for Samuel Chukwueze to put Nigeria in front. To start the second half he scored the third which sealed a comfortable win for Nigeria.

The 26-year-old had an impressive showing in Nigeria’s opening group game against the Pharoahs’ of Egypt.

However, the Man of the Match award for that encounter was given to Kelechi Iheanacho who scored what turned out to be the winner.

The Nantes forward has been a constant threat in attack for the Super Eagles in both games played.

He attempted four take-ons and completed three of them against the Jediane Falcons.

In reaction to this, the star man dedicated the plague to his team mates, urging them to do more in next outing against Guinea Bisau.

“ I’m happy to achieve this. The game is a tough one just as our previous one against Egypt. I’m dedicating this to my team mates and I urge the team to do more in next game against Guinea Bissau.”
