If reports are to be believed, Everton’s Lucas Digne is the most likely arrival, a result of the Frenchman falling out of favour at Goodison Park.
However, according to Calciomercato, the European champions are also deliberating over whether to make a big-money approach for Hernandez.
The report claimed that Marina Granovskaia, who oversees Chelsea’s transfer business, is not put off by Milan’s £50m valuation of the player.
The 24-year-old has enjoyed a productive campaign at San Siro, contributing two goals and five assists during his 15 appearances in Serie A.
