The stage is set for final of this year’s Winners Golden Bet sponsored Lagos FA Cup.
Vandrezzer FC, a second-tier division, Nigeria National League (NNL) team, dumped out the defending champions, Smart City in semifinals on Wednesday.
Vandrezzer outclassed Smart FC by 6-2, while Box To Box played a 2-2 draw with Gbagada FC and ran away with victory in the penalty shootouts that ended 6-5.
The Chairman of the Lagos State Sports Commission, Shola Aiyepeku, the Director-General of the Commission, Toyin Gafaar, Chairman of Lagos State Football Association, Seyi Akinwunmi, Lagos FA Board member, Mojeed Adegbindin, renowned sports journalist Godwin Enarkhena among other top dignitaries were at in attendance during the semi-finals at the Teslim Balogun Stadium on Wednesday.
