A fresh angle has emerged over Real Madrid’s interest in Wilfred Ndidi, after it was reported that La Liga giants plan for the Leicester City star to replace Casemiro, who could be on his way to Chelsea.
El Nacional put Real Madrid favourites to sign Ndidi, whose contract with ‘The Foxes’ is still June 2024.
The Nigeria star, 24, joined Leicester City for €17 million four years ago.
He has since established himself in the Premier League after close to 200 appearances.
Casemiro, 29, has a contract with Real till June 2025. He has scored 30 goals and registered 27 assists in 307 appearances for Real.
However, the Spanish club will be open to let him go should Chelsea be prepared with an offer in the region of €60 million.
