Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Kaizer Chiefs of South Africa goalkeeper, Daniel Akpeyi, is among the high profile players that is free to sign a pre-contract agreement with the club of their choice by January 2022, BSNsports.com.ng can report.
The agile goalkeeper joined Kaizer Chiefs in 2019 after an amazing outing with another South African club Chippa United.
Since 2019, Akpeyi has been able to hold his own despite being among the South Africa international goalkeepers Khune Itumeleng and Bvuma.
Despite Kaizer Chiefs shaky start to the season, Nigeria international has been outstanding in the league.
His current contract will expire at the end of the ongoing season and Amakhosi is yet to table a new offer for the goaltender.
According to the rules of transfer, Akpeyi is open to discussing with any other club by January with 6 months remaining on his contract.
