A number of Nigeria stars played starring roles at their respective clubs just before the international break. From Dessers coming off the bench to score a late winning goal in the Eredivisie to Simon contributing an assist in Nantes' 2-2 draw against Strasbourg.

Dominic Solanke

The former Liverpool and Chelsea player inspired AFC Bournemouth to a 4-0 win over Swansea City on Saturday with a brace.

Solanke scored the first two goals for the Cherries and it took his tally to 13 goals after 17 Championship games this season.

The emphatic home victory also stretched Bournemouth's dominance at the top of the Championship table.

Cyriel Dessers

Dessers continued his match-winning performances for Feyenoord on Sunday with another decisive goal in their 1-0 win over AZ Alkmaar.

After scoring the winning goals for Arne Slot' side in their last two games (vs Sparta Rotterdam and Union Berlin), the Super Eagles striker was introduced in the 82nd minute and he scored the goal that sealed all three points for Feyenoord, 10 minutes later.

David Okereke

Okereke scored the winning goal as Venezia defeated Jose Mourinho's Roma 3-2 in Sunday's Serie A game.

The 24-year-old has now scored three goals in 11 league games so far this season.

Joe Aribo

The Super Eagles midfielder scored a goal and provided an assist as Rangers fought back from a goal deficit to beat Ross County in a Premiership fixture.

Aribo grabbed the equaliser for Steven Gerrard's side in the 19th minute and he later assisted Juninho Bacuna in extending their lead with a third goal in the 49th minute.

The 25-year-old has been involved in five goals - three goals and two assists - in the Scottish top-flight this term.

Moses Simon

Simon provided his sixth assist of the season as Nantes settled for a 2-2 draw with Strasbourg in a Ligue 1 outing.

The pacy winger linked up with Mali's Kalifa Coulibaly to open the scoring for the hosts in the 20th minute and he was also involved in the build-up to Randal Kolo Muani's effort that restored Nantes' lead in the 48th minute.

Simon, who has started every one of the Canaries' games this season, played from start to finish at the Stade de la Beaujoire - Louis Fonteneau on Sunday.
