Arsenal legend Nwankwo Kanu is Nigeria’s king of assists in the elite division.
The lanky striker was a member of the Gunners’ Invincibles. During his 13-year spell in England, the former Nigeria captain represented Portsmouth and West Bromwich Albion after leaving the North London side.
Aside from lifting the Premier League diadem twice, he accounted for more assists than any other Nigerian in the competition’s history (29). Yakubu Ayegbeni is second on the all-time list having turned provider on 26 occasions.
