After Borrowing Your Phone To Anyone Of Suspicious Character, Use This Code To See What They Did.

Nowadays, local scams are very common and rampant in our society and It is no news that majority of the people that perpetrate this type of fraud are friends, family members and people close to the unsuspecting victims.

This is due to the fact that close relationship or communication is needed to obtain versatile information required in conducting local scams. Mostly, money is deducted from the victims account while sometimes their details and confidential information are been used by the fraudsters to carry our more nefarious activities.

I heard of an incident where someone gave his phone to a friend of his to make a call, this friend who happened to be a fraudster used his phone to recharge about 10 thousand naira worth of airtime from the boys bank account. This friend also went ahead to transfer the airtime to his sim card after deleting the text messages showing the transactions . He was later caught trying to sell the airtime.

In my opinion I think people should safeguard their phones in the best possible ways they can and refuse to give them out to people of suspicious character. If this is not possible then I have just the best thing to do.

Quickly open your dialer and input the number.

From here, you'd be able to monitor whatever the person you gave your phone did. Even if they've wiped it off, or uninstalled the app. That way you can ask them relevant questions and find out what they were really doing.

For example if someone takes your phone on the pretext that he or she wants to look at pictures, if you find out from the usage statistics that he or she opened your Messages and spent about 4 minutes there, you have everything right to question that person.

As you can see the name of the apps recently used are listed down, the time they were used and the how long they were open are also shown.

With this I think we can cut down on local scams involving people getting their hands on our phones and our personal information.
